'Paedocypris Progenetica'

The world's Smallest Fish ..

It is the Smallest known fish on earth. It has Recently discovered in the last decade. Scientists discovered it living in the forest swamps on the Indonesian Island of Sumatra. Mature females measure just 7.9mm less than one third of an inch..

'Sea Turtle'

World Largest living Sea turtle 

Leather sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea)
is the largest living sea turtle.

Weighing in at between 550 and 2,000 pounds with lengths of up to six feet , the leatherback is a big turtle! Leatherback sea turtles can be distinguished from other species of sea turtle by its lack of a hard shell or scales. Instead , leatherback are covered with a frim , rubbery skin.

The leatherback sea turtle feeds primarily on jellyfish.

You can find leatherback sea turtle as  far as north as canada can the northern pacific ocean. They tend to nest in the tropics.



'Ming'

World's oldest known creature , a clam (mollusc) - was 507 years old until scientists killed it by mistake.

Ming is a nick name given to a specimen of the ocean quahog clam (arctica islandica), that was dredged off the coast of iceland in 2006. It was the oldest individual animal ever discovered whose age could be accurately determined. Later, the icelandic researchers which discovered the clam named hafrún. 

Original thought to be 405 years old, it was later determined to be 507 years old.

The actual sex of the clam, however, is unknown. Ming was unfortunately killed by researchers when they opened it's shell to find out how old it was. The unlucky mollusc was picked up from an Icelandic seabed back in 2006, but scientists were unaware of the creature's record breaking age.


Sea Lion 

The Most Flexible animal in the world

Sea lions are the most flexible (Fastest, Fittest , strongest) animas.
Sea lions ( Zalophus Californianus)
are pinnipeds characterized by external ear flaps , long fore flippers, the ability to walk on all fours, short, thick hair, and a big chest and belly. Together with the fur seals (the Japanese sea lion ) in five genera. Their range extends from the subarctic to tropical waters of the global ocean in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres, with the notable exception of the northern atlantic ocean. They have an average life span of 20-30 years. A male california cal lion weighs on average about 300 kg (660lb) and is about 2.4 m (8ft) long , while the female sea  lion weighs 100kg (220lb)and is 1.8m (6ft) long. Sea lions consume large quantities of food at a time and are known to eat about 5-8 %of their body weight about 6.8-15.9 kg at a single feeding. Sea lions can move around 30km/hr in water and at their fastest thry can speed about 56km/hr (30knots). Three species, the Australian sea lion, the Galàpagos sea lion and the new Zealand sea lion are listed as Endangered.
